A Volunteer’s Guide to Creating Video Articles With Modern AI Tools

Have you ever wanted to sit down with someone interesting and share their story?
Every croquet club has them. The life member who's played for 40 years. The greenkeeper who knows why one lawn drains and another doesn't, or how to get the line marker working. These stories exist, but most never get told; knowledge exists but gets lost.
For a long time, the technical work stopped people from trying to capture these things. Video editing, writing, image work. Each step needed specialist skills or days of effort. With AI tools, the whole process now takes about 30 minutes.
The video below is a complete, real-time walkthrough of the process. It shows how a single interview becomes a finished article with AI-generated text, video clips, and custom images.
The article created in the video is here: news.croquetqld.org/croquet-retirement-planning-hobby
The tools do the heavy lifting. What they can't do is sit across from someone and ask the right questions. That's where you come in.
Join Our Content Team
We're building a team of volunteer creators. Two roles are available.
1. The Interviewer (Story Finder) You enjoy talking to people and listening. You'll sit down with people in croquet, ask about what they know, and record the conversation. It could be a life member's journey, a club president explaining how they won a grant, or someone talking about why they chose a particular lawn mower. The conversations are informal. You don't need to be a journalist.
2. The Producer (Story Shaper) You want to learn the technology in the video. You'll use the workflow shown above to turn recorded conversations into finished articles.
Want to join?
No experience needed. We'll provide training, software, and support. You'll learn new skills and contribute to our croquet community.
